According to the latest edition of the Power On newsletter from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a few key Apple products are nearing mass production, ahead of a launch between “the end of the year and the first quarter of next year.” These products include M5 MacBook Air, M5 MacBook Pro, as well as at least one refresh to the Studio Display.
Apple is still widely expected to launch a few additional products by the end of the year: an M5-powered Vision Pro and iPad Pro, as well as a few key Home product refreshes: Apple TV and HomePod mini.
Beyond that, the company is working on M5-powered MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. It’s also working on two new Mac monitors with 27-inch display sizes, though additional details are unclear.
Today, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports the following:
Beyond the fairly imminent debut of new iPad Pro and Vision Pro models, Apple is nearing mass production of its next MacBook Pros (code-named J714 and J716), MacBook Airs (J813 and J815) and two new Mac monitors (J427 and J527), I’m told. These devices are still slated for release between the end of this year and the first quarter of next year, but it’s exciting to know these are nearing a key stage.
While today’s news doesn’t guarantee an end of year launch, it does indicate a slight possibility that we see some of these products earlier than the initial predicted time frame of Q1 2026 – though you shouldn’t hold your breath for an October or November launch.
Outside of these M5-based Mac products (and Studio Display refresh), Apple is also planning a new iPhone 17e model, a new budget iPad, and a new iPad Air model – likely powered by M4. These products should launch during the “first half of next year” per Gurman, though it’s likely to be sometime during the spring.
