Paramount has unveiled the first trailer for Regretting You, its adaptation of the novel from bestselling author Colleen Hoover, starring Allison Williams and Mckenna Grace, which is slated for release in theaters on October 24.
Regretting You centers on the complex relationship between Morgan Grant (Williams) and her daughter, Clara (Grace). Morgan became a mother at a young age, putting her own dreams on hold to raise Clara. As Clara grows into a teenager, their relationship becomes strained, especially after a tragic accident claims the life of Chris, Morgan’s husband and Clara’s father.
The film is one of several that studios have fast-tracked following the success of the Blake Lively- and Justin Baldoni-led It Ends with Us, the Sony film based on Hoover’s hot novel, which grossed over $350 million worldwide. Pic’s cast also includes Dave Franco, Mason Thames, Sam Morelos, Scott Eastwood, Willa Fitzgerald and Clancy Brown.
Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) directed from a script by After‘s Susan McMartin. The project is produced by Brunson Green, Anna Todd, Flavia Viotti, and Robert Kulzer. Exec producers included Oliver Berben, Hoover, Williams, Grace, Franco, Jon D. Wagner, Emily Magee, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Michael Rothstein, Samuel Hall, and Warren Goz.
