Raiders close out the preseason in Arizona against the Cardinals

What to know

The majority of the Arizona’s starters are not expected to play Saturday after Cardinals Head Coach Jonathan Gannon said the it would look “similar to last week,” in which most of their starters, including quarterback Kyler Murray, sat.

The last preseason game is usually viewed as the final evaluation for players who are on the bubble of making the roster. For Raiders Head Coach Pete Carroll, he wants to see his team get out there and keep doing what they’ve been doing – competing.

“I want to see them to go out knowing that there’s a lot on the line for them, and play like they’re capable,” he said. “I don’t want them to do nothing crazy. I don’t want them to try to be like somebody else. I want them to be the best version of themselves in the face of all that may be built up in their minds.

“I’m going to try to calm them down as much as possible, and trusting that the work that we’ve done, the reps that we’ve taken, will give them if they can execute that on game day, again, under these circumstances, and they can handle it and deal with it really well. That’s the message that you got a guy that can really compete and you can count on.”
