Radiohead reunited for their first tour dates in seven years, kicking off their Europe/UK run at Madrid’s Movistar Arena on Tuesday, November 4th.
The tour sees Radiohead performing in the round in the middle of the arena, something the band hasn’t done since opening for Ned’s Atomic Dustbin in 1993. The setlist is dynamic in nature, drawing from an initial pool of 65 songs Yorke sent to his bandmates. For Tuesday night’s kick-off show, the band played a 25-song set that kicked off with “Let Down,” the OK Computer single which recently experienced a viral resurgence on TikTok.
From there, Radiohead ran through a career-spanning mix that touched on nearly every era, including OK Computer (“Lucky,” “No Surprises,” “Subterranean Homesick Alien,” “Paranoid Android,” “Karma Police”), Kid A (“Everything in Its Right Place,” “How to Disappear Completely,” “Idioteque”), Amnesiac (“The National Anthem,” “You and Whose Army?”), Hail to the Thief (“2 + 2 = 5,” “Sit Down. Stand Up.,” “The Gloaming,” “Myxomatosis,” “A Wolf at the Door,” “There There”), In Rainbows (“Weird Fishes/Arpeggi,” “15 Step,” “Bodysnatchers,” “Videotape”), The King of Limbs (“Bloom”), and A Moon Shaped Pool (“Ful Stop,” “Daydreaming”). The show concluded with The Bends classic “Fake Plastic Trees.”

The noted reprisal of several Hail to the Thief tracks arrives after the band released a surprise live album, Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003 – 2009, earlier this year, which celebrated live versions of the album’s songs as they transformed and mutated over the years of touring them. Thom Yorke worked on an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet re-imagined as Hamlet Hail to the Thief in 2024, which featured a score of reworked songs from the 2003 original.
Radiohead will continue with their run of four shows in Madrid on Wednesday, November 5th. They’ll then play through mid-December with subsequent four-night stands in Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin. See the full schedule below.
After several years away from Radiohead — including spells with Radiohead offshoot The Smile, various film scoring projects, and other solo endeavors from the band’s five members — the group convened in 2024 for some casual rehearsals. They formally announced their 2025 UK/European tour in September, with drummer Philip Selway commenting that the group desires to “reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.”
In an extensive profile with The Sunday Times last month, Radiohead’s members detailed their tour, confirming it would be staged in the round and promising that setlists would vary throughout the run (“We have too many songs… we’re contrary bastards,” Yorke said). The band also reflected on their years away from the road: Yorke shared that he never properly grieved the loss of his late wife, Rachel Owen, while Ed O’Brien attributed the hiatus to burnout and mental health challenges. The group also addressed criticism for not explicitly condemning Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. “I utterly respect the dismay, but it’s very odd to be on the receiving end,” Yorke said, while Jonny Greenwood lamented, “The only thing I’m ashamed of is that I’ve dragged Thom and the others into this mess — but I’m not ashamed of working with Arab and Jewish musicians. I can’t apologize for that.”
Though the band confirmed they’re happy to be reunited, they haven’t offered any updates on new music — or whether this tour will serve as Radiohead’s final outing. “We haven’t thought past the tour,” Johnny Greenwood admitted. “I’m just stunned we got this far,” added Yorke.
