PORTLAND (WGME) — There was a rabid bat found recently in Portland, according to the city’s public health division.
They say this is the fourth case of rabies in the county this year.
They previously found a raccoon, a fox and another bat that were rabid.
They’re reminding people to make sure their pets are vaccinated.
You should keep trashcan lids on tight to keep wild animals away.
And of course, keep your distance from wild or stray animals.
