Quick Hits After Friday’s Titans Practice

-Callahan said quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree had a good week as he takes over the play-calling duties on Sunday for Callahan.

“It was good,” Callahan said. “I thought it was pretty seamless.”

Asked what kind of latitude Hardegree will have as a play-caller, Callahan replied: “He’s calling the game. I’ll have things, or I’ll interject, because I know all head coaches do, but (Bo) is calling the game.”

-Callahan said JC Latham is dealing with the same hip injury he had in training camp, and that it’s muscle-related. Latham won’t need surgery, said Callahan, who indicated Latham is feeling pretty good and the team just wants to give him extra time to fully heal. It took Latham two weeks to recover before returning prior to the start of the season.

-Guard Kevin Zeitler will be the eighth captain on Sunday for the Titans.

-Quarterback Cam Ward, who was added to the injury report earlier in the week, practiced in full once again and is good to go.

-Kevin Zeitler (biceps) practiced in full and is good to go.

-Safety Kevin Winston (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis and is DOUBTFUL.

-Linebacker Dorian Mausi (back) did not practice and is QUESTIONABLE.

-Running back Jordan Mims will be one of the team’s gameday elevations, Callahan said.

-Running back Kalel Mullings was placed on Injured Reserve on Friday because of a lingering ankle injury.

-Linebacker Curtis Jacobs has been signed to the team’s practice squad.

-The Titans will hold a walkthrough on Saturday in Nashville before traveling to Houston on Saturday.
