The Ultimatum: Queer Love will not be returning for a third season at Netflix.
The streamer has canceled the dating format, coming after the launch on the second season in June.
The series is a spin off of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, which launched its fourth season over the summer.
Both shows come from Kinetic Content and were created by founder Chris Coelen.
The Ultimatum: Queer Love follows a group of couples, made up of women and nonbinary people, for whom marriage is an absolute dealbreaker. One partner is ready to walk down the aisle, while the other is dragging their feet. So to decide whether to marry or move on for good, one person issues an ultimatum, kicking off a potentially relationship-shattering experiment.
Over eight weeks, the couples will split and choose someone else to date based on long-term compatibility, attraction and the unquantifiable sensation known simply as vibes. Each person will enter into a trial marriage with a new partner from one of the other pairings and at the end of the experiment, they must choose between two possible futures.
The series was hosted by Sweet Magnolias’ JoAnna Garcia Swisher.
Netflix noted that it was “extremely proud” of the work done by producers, host, participants and crew. Variety broke the news.
