Prince Andrew‘s scandal surrounding his involvement with the late Jeffrey Epstein hasn’t helped the royal family‘s reputation one bit. In addition to dragging down King Charles III’s legacy, another senior royal is being brought into the fray.
Andrew is reportedly getting a bit paranoid about his living quarters at Royal Lodge, and according to The Telegraph, he believes that his older brother wants to give it to Queen Camilla. It’s no secret that Charles did try to encourage his brother “to downsize and move out” of Royal Lodge in favor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former residence, Frogmore Cottage, for the last two years. This swap was suggested because of Andrew’s dwindling finances.
There was also speculation that Royal Lodge was going to be earmarked for Prince William and Kate Middleton, but they have secured Forest Lodge as their “forever home.” With the increasing pressure of the Epstein investigation and the release of damning correspondence between the men, it’s evident that Andrew’s loss of titles isn’t enough punishment.

Andrew’s been living rent-free in the 30-room estate for over 20 years after an initial down payment and renovations. He has an ironclad lease agreement, but it looks like he and Sarah Ferguson are “in talks” to move out of Royal Lodge and to a more appropriate housing situation.
There’s a possibility that he will wind up in one of Charles’ “privately-owned residences such as Sandringham or Balmoral in Aberdeenshire,” per the Daily Mail. Of course, Andrew is playing hardball and wants “to stay in London or Windsor near his daughters – and does not want to be sent to Norfolk or Scotland.”
Camilla wants to stay out of conversation and palace officials denied that she would be getting Royal Lodge if Andrew moves out, according to The Telegraph. GB News claimed that Camilla “favors a more modest lifestyle than her brother-in-law” and would be more likely to choose the Ray Mill House in Wiltshire as her residence if King Charles passes. She acquired the estate through her divorce from Andrew Parker Bowles in 1995.
Prince Andrew has been nothing but a disaster for the royal family, and they are finally realizing that they need to take swift action to save King Charles’ legacy.
