SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Play is expected to resume at 7 p.m. after Notre Dame’s home football game against Purdue, which is airing on WNDU, went into a lightning delay.
Play was suspended with 1:31 remaining in the second quarter.
When play resumes, the teams are expected to play the remaining 1:31 in the second quarter, take a short break, then start the third quarter. Therefore, this weather delay essentially became a halftime.
Notre Dame leads 28-13, but Purdue has the ball at the Notre Dame 19.
