PlayStation 5 has shipped 80.3 million units worldwide, Sony announced in its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2025.
A total of 2.5 million PlayStation 5 units were shipped during the three months ended June 30, 2025, which is up 0.1 million from the same period the previous fiscal year.
Here are a couple of additional statistics:
- There are 123 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of June 30, 2025, which is up seven million from the 116 million active users during the same period the previous fiscal year.
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 65.9 million units during the three months ended June 30, 2025, which is up 12.3 million from the 53.6 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 6.9 million units were first-party titles, which is up 0.9 million from the 6.0 million units sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 83 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is up three percent from the same period the previous fiscal year.
