Prince George is growing up so quickly. The eldest son of Kate Middleton and Prince William made a rare joint appearance with his mother yesterday, November 8, attending the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in London. The appearance marked a major milestone for the 12-year-old prince, as it was his first Remembrance event. As People reported, his father William was the same age when he first began attending similar events.
While Middleton channeled Princess Diana in a 1980’s-coded white collared black dress, her son looked all grown up in a black suit and black-and-white striped tie. He wore his blonde hair in a side part, swept to one side.

When George stood next to his mother, he also looked notably taller—which makes sense, considering the fact that Middleton previously told members of the public that George is quickly shooting up. “They are getting big now! George is already in my shoes,” she said, per Hello!.
Although George may look all grown up at recent events, his father shared that at home, he still behaves like a normal kid. “When George is behind closed doors, it’s completely different,” he said. “George just knows how to behave.”

George made his last appearance at Wimbledon in July, where he reportedly shared that he’s “alright” at the sport.
Middleton made a second appearance this weekend on November 9, attending the Remembrance Sunday event in a black coatdress by Catherine Walker, a black hat, and a black ruffled lace scarf.
