The nominees for the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are being announced Tuesday, as the small-screen awards season hits high gear.
The first two nominations for the 2025 edition were revealed already, with the Reality Competition and Talk Series categories announced via CBS, which is airing this year’s Primetime Emmy ceremony that will see Nate Bargatze hosting.

The first surprise of the morning was that Late Night with Seth Meyers was nudged out of the Outstanding Talk Series category, while The Voice missed out in Outstanding Reality Competition Program as Survivor returned to the category after missing out last year.
The full noms list will be revealed below beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET, with Harvey Guillen, Brenda Song and Television Academy chairman Cris Abrego reading them out from the Academy’s North Hollywood HQ. You can watch that livestream here.
After today’s list is finalized, the FYC biz goes into overdrive ahead of final voting by Academy members from August 18-27. That will culminate in a pair of Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies September 6-7, where the crafts will have there time in the sun. Then comes the 25-category Primetime Emmys on September 14, airing live on CBS and Paramount+.
