COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Powerball jackpot is closing in on a new record, as the third-highest jackpot will be on the line in Saturday’s drawing.
The jackpot rose to $1.7 billion on Thursday after no winner in Wednesday’s drawing.
Three tickets in South Carolina, however, each won $50,000 from the drawing:
- Ticket sold in Fort Mill at the Publix at 928 Gold Hill Road
- Ticket sold in Goose Creek at the A Plus on 1519 Red Bank Road
- Ticket sold in Greenville at the Circle K on 820 South Church Street
The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 293 million.
Players must purchase a ticket by 9:59 p.m. on Saturday for the drawing at 10:59 p.m.
