The Harvest Festival is a packed Pokémon Go event! Not only have Dipplin and Hydrapple been released, but there’s also the Harvest Festival Collection Challenges to complete.
Don’t forget to complete the Harvest Festival research tasks though as one might provide you with a Pokémon required for one of the Collection Challenges – whether it’s the Harvest Festival Catch or Evolution Collection Challenge.

Pumpkin Patch Collection Challenge Pokémon list
Pumpkin Patch is the first of three Collection Challenge running throughout Pokémon Go’s Harvest Festival event. This means you have until Thursday 16th October at 8pm (local time).

Unlike the next Collection Challenge, this is very around catching Pokémon. So your normal Collection Challenge… Just remember you can’t obtain them via other methods, like trading.
Here’s all of the Pokémon in the Pumpkin Patch Collection Challenge and how to get them:
- Small Size Pumpkaboo – In the wild or event-exclusive research tasks (Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon / Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon)
- Average Size Pumpkaboo – In the wild or event-exclusive research tasks (Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon / Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon)
- Large Size Pumpkaboo – In the wild or event-exclusive research tasks (Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon / Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon)
- Super Size Pumpkaboo – In the wild or event-exclusive research tasks (Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon / Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon)
Rewards: 5,000 Stardust, one Mossy Lure Module and Applin encounter.
Honeycomb Harvest Collection Challenge Pokémon list
Honeycomb Harvest Collection Challenge is the second Collection Challenge available during the Harvest Festival event in Pokémon Go. Like the one above, you must complete it before Thursday 16th October at 8pm (local time).

To complete this Collection Challenge, you must obtain one Pokémon via evolution, but there’s an extra catch. The Pokémon in question is Vespiquen and only a female Combee can evolve into this Pokémon. So here’s to hoping you either already have a female Combee or get lucky! Remember – obtaining Vespiquen though any other means will not count towards this Collection Challenge.
Here’s all of the Pokémon in the Honeycomb Harvest Collection Challenge and how to get them:
- Combee – In the wild
- Vespiquen – Evolve female Combee using 50 Combee Candy
Rewards: 2,500 Stardust, one Syrupy Apple and Applin encounter.
Olive Orchard Collection Challenge Pokémon list
Olive Orchard Collection Challenge is the final Collection Challenge available during the Harvest Festival event in Pokémon Go. Like the one above, you must complete it before Thursday 16th October at 8pm (local time).

You must obtain two Pokémon via evolution for them to count towards this Collection Challenge. Obtaining them through any other means won’t tick them off the list. Don’t forget to use Pinap Berries when catching their stage one Pokémon to increase the amount of catch candy you’ll receive.
Here’s all of the Pokémon in the Olive Orchard Collection Challenge and how to get them:
- Smoliv – In the wild or event-exclusive research task (Catch 10 Pokémon)
- Dolliv – Evolve Smoliv using 25 Smoliv Candy
- Arboliva – Evolve Dolliv using 100 Smoliv Candy
Rewards: 2,500 Stardust, one Syrupy Apple and Applin encounter.
The Harvest Festival has brought Dipplin and Hydrapple to Pokémon Go! It’s worth taking a look at the changes to Apples and Applin too. Make sure you know the October event and raid schedule.
You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest.
Don’t forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you’re hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Harvest Festival field research tasks
Here are the Harvest Festival field research tasks in Pokémon Go:
- Catch 10 Pokémon reward – Smoliv encounter
- Catch 15 Grass-type Pokémon reward – Applin encounter
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward – Small, Average, Large or Super Size Pumpkaboo encounter
- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward – Small, Average, Large or Super Size Pumpkaboo encounter
Harvest Festival bonuses
- Double catch candy when using Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries.
- Increased chance of encountering shiny Pumpkaboo and shiny Smoliv.
- Increased chance of Apples appearing at PokéStops with active Mossy Lure Modules.

Dipplin and Hydrapple debut
Dipplin and Hydrapple have debuted in Pokémon Go! While these Pokémon are part of Gen 9, they’re first appearance in the Pokémon universe was actually in The Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Harvest Festival pay-to-play research quest
- $4.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.
- Non-refundable and can not be purchased using PokéCoin.
- Can be given to a player you’re Great Friends or higher with.
- Must be completed, with rewards claimed, by Thursday 16th October at 8pm (local time).
- Purchasing the ticket grants access to two additional bonuses – double Mossy Lure Module duration and an increased chance of receiving Berries from PokéStops, including Silver Pinap and Golden Razz Berries.
- Rewards include 30 Silver Pinap Berries, three Mossy Lure Modules and Applin encounters.
