PlayStation Devs Under Fire for Charlie Kirk Murder Response

At least two PlayStation Studios employees are under fire for their response to news of Charlie Kirk‘s assassination. The 31-year-old political activist was murdered in broad daylight this week, sending shockwaves around the world.

One of PlayStation Studios devs reportedly fired for mocking Charlie Kirk assassination

One of the employees is senior Sucker Punch Productions artist Drew Harrison, who joked on Bluesky that she hopes the shooter’s name is Mario “so that Luigi knows his bro got his back.” This post refers to alleged killer Luigi Mangione, who is accused of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson last December.

In subsequent posts, Harrison confirmed that people had contacted her employer over her comments and claimed that she had been fired. Sucker Punch Productions has not commented on the matter at the time of this writing, but Harrison has since updated her LinkedIn to note that her 10-year tenure at the studio has come to an end.

Separately, an Insomniac Games character artist allegedly reposted an image on Bluesky that seems to refer to Kirk as a “Nazi.” They later removed their post, but screenshots of it are circulating online.

Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment have not issued any statements on the matter either.
