PlayStation 5 and PC are getting a huge open world RPG soon, and a free beta test has also been confirmed.
Gamescom Opening Night Live was filled with trailers and reveals for many upcoming games, some of which had not been shown before.
We got new teasers for Resident Evil 9: Requiem, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Fallout: Season 2, as well as a whole bunch of soulslikes and open world RPGs.
One of these new open world RPGs is Seven Deadly Sins Origin, based on the popular anime and manga series. From what we know about the game so far, it’s an open world gacha game featuring characters and locations from the series.
Developer Netmarble has now announced that a Closed Beta Test for the game will be taking place in the future on PlayStation 5 and PC, and you can register for it here.
“Immerse yourself in a vivid reimagining of the world and experience a brand-new original story set within the familiar universe of The Seven Deadly Sins,” reads the official game description on Steam.

“Explore a dynamic, open-world Britannia teeming with secrets, formidable monsters, and breathtaking landscapes. Assemble a team of heroes with a wide array of abilities to explore Britannia together.
“Build your team from a diverse roster of heroes, each with unique abilities, and uncover an original story set within The Seven Deadly Sins universe—exclusive to Origin. The original The Seven Deadly Sins manga ran between 2012 and 2020, and was released in over 170 countries.
It was later adapted into an anime series, which aired from 2014 to 2021 across multiple networks.
The original story is about the titular Seven Deadly Sins, a group of knights who disbanded years earlier after being framed for plotting a coup against the kingdom.
