Pixel 10 and 10 Pro repair parts: Cheaper batteries & cameras 

Genuine repair parts for the Pixel 10 series are now available on iFixit with some interesting differences.

The Pixel 10 Pro screen is more expensive this year, which makes sense given that it’s a slightly better panel with increased brightness. There’s a small $7 price increase for the back glass, which is presumably due to the addition of Qi2 magnets. 

The battery is $10 cheaper, while the rear camera sees a $60 price decrease that could be explained by Google using the same camera sensors, though there’s improved optical image stabilization. 

Looking at the base Pixel 10, we see a price increase for the screen, and a more significant $30 bump for the back glass compared to last year.

However, the rear cameras surprisingly remain $159.99, with the addition of a new sensor possibly offset by the different wide and ultrawide.

In other news, Google, iFixit, and uBreakiFix are hosting a “Day of Education: Engineering our Products to Last Through Repairability” event on Thursday, October 16, 2025 (1 p.m.) at Google Store Chelsea to celebrate International Repair Day. 

The partners tout “live repairability demonstrations, expert-led panels, and hands-on experiences designed to educate consumers, media, and legislators on the importance and accessibility of product repair.” That includes “live demonstrations showcasing common repairs on Pixel phones, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds.”

Google will highlight its collaborative approach with key partners uBreakiFix and iFixit, reinforcing its commitment to supporting both professional and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) repair solutions.
