The Patriots are filling out their practice squad after Wednesday’s waiver claim period has ended.
The Patriots are signing tight ends CJ Dippre and Gee Scott Jr. to their practice squad, per sources.
OLB Bradyn Swinson, CB Kobee Minor, DT David Olajiga, C Alec Lindstrom, WR Jeremiah Webb, WR John Jiles, DT Jahvaree Ritzie, CB Miles Battle, G Mehki Butler, RB Terrell Jennings, LB Cam Riley, CB Brandon Crossley and OLB Truman Jones also were spotted out at Wednesday’s practice.
All 15 players spent training camp with the Patriots.
Swinson was Tuesday’s biggest surprise cut from the Patriots. He was selected in the fifth-round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of LSU. The only other rookie selected by the Patriots who was cut Tuesday was Minor, the final pick in the draft.
The Patriots can have 17 players on their practice squad if one of them is an international player pathway program player. Olajiga has an international exemption, so two spots remain.
One spot should be filled by wide receiver Javon Baker, who was cut Wednesday, if he clears waivers on Thursday.
