Oregon football didn’t get the best omen ahead of its seasonopener against Montana State on Saturday.
Shortly before the game, the Fox Sports camera caught the Ducks’ mascot Puddles losing his head, literally, in a stunt gone wrong. Rather than try to pick the head back up, the man inside the costume immediately made a beeline for the tunnel.

There’s something about watching a man run for his dignity while wearing giant duck feet that makes the whole scene perfect for social media.
A helper quickly picked up the loose head and Puddles returned to the field moments later, with order restored. It goes without saying the ridiculous video immediately went viral.
Fortunately, the Oregon team didn’t seem too bothered by the incident. The No. 7-ranked Ducks beat the Bobcats, 59-13, to begin their season 1-0.
