The first Ohio State kickoff return touchdown in 15 years belongs to Lorenzo Styles Jr.
With 17 seconds remaining in the third quarter after UCLA’s first score of the night made it a 34-7 ballgame, Styles fielded a kickoff two yards deep in his own end zone and brought it out. The play seemed doomed at first as he stumbled a touch crossing the goal line.
But Styles saw what the crowd didn’t, a hole to his left side. He looped around to find a gaping seam in the Bruins’ kick coverage, put the UCLA kicker on skates with a quick juke back to the inside and outran everyone else on the way to a 100-yard touchdown return.

Styles became the first Buckeye to return a kickoff to the house since Jordan Hall in 2010. A dependable nickelback for Ohio State this season, it was the first kick return all year for Styles. He couldn’t have had a better start. He also has one punt return for 36 yards off a trick play.
The return touchdown put Ohio State ahead 41-7 in the third quarter.
