It’s been a busy 2025 for Nothing, having launched a trio of smartphones alongside the brand’s first-ever over-the-ear headphones, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the year is quieting down.
Just a few days after initially teasing its next-gen earbuds, Nothing’s kicking this week off with an official launch date for the Ear (3). The company’s next audio product is coming on September 18th, though it’s unclear if this is when they’ll go on sale, or if it’s simply a full reveal ahead of an eventual release date. Either way, we’re also getting another tease with today’s announcement, showcasing a close-up of a pair of stems alongside Nothing’s usual branding and that typical transparent finish.
It’s tough to tell at this angle — and this close to the buds — what exactly is new this time around, though the design does look subtly different from its predecessors. Last year’s Nothing Ear were a confusingly-named refresh for the brand, but it included the typical slick plastic stems combined with a transparent finish. This year, it appears Nothing’s new buds include an indented plastic space, presumably combined with playback controls for a better feel when changing volume settings or skipping a song.
Whatever else is new with Nothing Ear (3), we don’t have to wait too long to find out; believe it or not, September 18th is just around the corner.
