The police report from the car crash that Nip/Tuck actor Dylan Walsh and his family survived in New Jersey this month says “empty and open White Claw hard seltzer” was found in the vehicle, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
In the police report from Sunday, August 17, obtained by EW, the responding officer wrote: “As the investigation continued, I located the credentials for the vehicle in the glove box for the vehicle and documented the information needed. While returning the documents, I noticed an open cooler bag containing multiple empty and open White Claw hard seltzer (Alcoholic Beverages).”
The report continues with information about Walsh (birth name “Charles Walsh”), 61, who was driving the vehicle: “With the combination of the accident’s cause being unknown by everyone inside the vehicle, including the operator, and the operator clueless as to if he lost consciousness or not, and with children present inside the vehicle, I requested that Charles provide a sample of his blood at the hospital to rule out drugs and or alcohol playing a role in this investigation. Charles willingly agreed, and a sample was taken consensually.”

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. Aug. 17, in Rumson, N.J., while the actor was driving a 2022 Ford Explorer carrying five passengers, including Leslie Bourque-Walsh, 53; Claire Richardson, 31; and two juveniles identified as Dylan Walsh’s children, Hud, 12, and Amélie, 13. The SUV crossed into another lane and hit two utility poles, and two passengers were taken to the hospital, according to a local news outlet.

Walsh’s rep told EW on Aug. 20 that “everyone is safe and has since returned home.”
The rep added, “The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care. They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.”
