A bundle of Nintendo Switch games that normally costs $60 on the Nintendo eShop is only $2 for a limited time, thanks to a massive 97% discount, the biggest discount available on the Nintendo eShop right now. There are no native Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the trio of games; however, each is playable on the new Nintendo console via backward compatibility. That said, this Nintendo eShop deal is set to expire on September 1, which is about 48 hours away from the moment of publishing.
The new Nintendo eShop deal is specifically for Action Games Bundle, a very generic-sounding name for a bundle that features three different Nintendo Switch games: Deflector, Syndrome, and Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron. Of course, these aren’t the latest and greatest Nintendo Switch games available on the Nintendo eShop, but at essentially $0.66 a pop, that’s to be expected.
Deflector
The most notable Nintendo Switch game from this trio is probably Deflector from developer Arrowfist Games. A top-down action rogue-like, Deflector is a bullet-hell where you deflect enemy projectiles back at them whilst also deploying a set of unique weapons and mutations to eliminate “deadly viruses.” As a standalone purchase, Deflector costs $20, and it is apparently quite good. To this end, it has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam thanks to an 87% approval rating after 283 reviews.
Syndrome
Syndrome is also normally $20, but a sci-fi survival horror game that puts players inside a doomed starship full of horrors to survive. The objective? To find out what happened to your lost crew. Where Deflector has proven to be an almost universally positive experience for those who have played it, Syndrome has been a bit more divisive, as horror games often are. To this end, the 2016 game from developer Camel 101 has a 70% approval rating on Steam after 228 reviews.
Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron
The final game in this bundle actually has the most reviews on Steam, which suggests it is the most popular. Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron is both a Warhammer game and an aerial combat game released in 2021 by Phosphor Game Studios. Like the other two games, normally this title costs $20, however, unlike the other two games in addition to its single-player campaign it also has multiplayer. As noted, it has the most user reviews on Steam of the three games, with 392 reviews to date, 78% of which are positive.
Other Deals:
Those not tickled by this deal aren’t going to find much else of note at this dirt-cheap price point, but there are a few other noteworthy $2 deals on the Nintendo eShop. For example, right now, one of the best Nintendo Switch games, Inside, is $2 on the Nintendo eShop. Some other noteworthy $2 deals on the Nintendo eShop right now include: Limbo, The Last Campfire, Figment, Figment 2, Stories Untold, and Little Friends: Dogs & Cats.
The Best Value on the Nintendo eShop
None of the three Nintendo Switch games above is going to blow you away and change your life, but there isn’t a better value on the Nintendo eShop right now. Three solid games that combine for over 30 hours of entertainment for the price of $2 is a steal, and it is a steal that is currently exclusive to the Nintendo eShop. Those with a little bit more money, though, may want to check out a recent Nintendo Switch 2 stealth release available for $10 that Nintendo fans are calling “amazing.”
