The latest Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch firmware update just went live with version 20.2.0.
A couple of specific issues have been addressed, which involve Parental Control transfers and being stuck in Internet Settings while searching for networks. On top of that, we get the traditional stability updates.
Nintendo’s official notice about the update is as follows:
Nintendo Switch 2 / Switch update version 20.2.0 patch notes
- Fixed an issue where Parental Control settings were not transferred to Nintendo Switch 2 from Nintendo Switch in certain circumstances during a system transfer.
- Fixed an issue where you could not proceed past “Searching for networks” in Internet Settings within System Settings. [Switch 2 only]
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
Nintendo has been putting out updates for both of its systems pretty frequently as of late, though they tend to revolve around bug fixes and improvements. Last month for example, we saw version 20.1.5 which brought us another wave of stability upgrades. You can catch up on that news here.
Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch owners should find that the update will download automatically in the background. If you haven’t already, you should soon get a notice about it.
