Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is already following in her mom and global fashion icon Nicole Kidman’s stylish stilettos at just 17—and now, she’s taking cues in the beauty department as well. Fresh off her Miu Miu fashion week runway debut and a new campaign, the teen has started flexing her acting chops with cameos in Big Little Lies and The Undoing alongside her mom. And while opening up about raiding Kidman’s closet in a new interview, the high school student swapped out her blonde-highlighted brown hair for a dramatic auburn shade closer to her mom’s signature hue.
While Kidman has vacillated between shades of platinum and strawberry blonde in recent years, the Babygirl actress is a natural redhead and first became a household name with her copper-toned auburn ringlets. In a new cover story interview with Nylon published on Wednesday, August 6, Sunday Rose looked unrecognizable as she swapped out her brown hair with light money pieces near her face—a beachy look more in keeping with dad Keith Urban—in favor of a very autumn-coded dark red transformation.

Although Kidman has joked that her kids aren’t particularly interested in visiting her movie sets, the newly-minted runway star revealed that her mom’s photo shoots were a big factor in her interest in modeling. “Growing up, I went to my mom’s photo shoots a lot and got to observe, which definitely led to my interest in exploring the modeling world,” she shared.

Sunday Rose also confirmed that she does in fact raid her mom’s closet, telling the publication that she’d rather pick one of Kidman’s vintage pieces than buy something new. “Oh gosh, if I had to pick one it would be impossible,” she quipped when asked about her favorite vintage find. “I take everything from my mom’s closet. I sometimes joke with her that it’s my favorite store.”

Kidman, who also shares daughter Faith Margaret with husband Keith Urban, has previously shared that her mini-mes love borrowing things from her closet. However, she said that the privilege doesn’t extend both ways in a January interview with W Magazine.
“They raid my wardrobe all the time. I’m like, ‘Okay, what’s mine is yours,’” she said, adding, “But I don’t raid their closet, even though I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cute.’ But I’m not allowed to take anything. It’s a one-way exchange.”
