It’s almost time for Made By Google 2025, and true to tradition, we have a good idea of what we can expect from Google’s biggest event of the year.
While there is room for Google to surprise us, we can expect the Pixel 10 series to headline the event.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are leaning heavily on the Pixel 9’s successes to make a splash, which means we’re not expecting much to surprise us.
However, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold brings some key improvements that will help it stand out in an increasingly competitive foldable market.
Thanks to leaks, we’ve got an excellent idea of what the Pixel 10 Pro Fold looks like on the outside and inside.
You’ll want to watch the official livestream on August 10 for the full picture, but here’s what we know about the Pixel 10 Pro Fold ahead of Made by Google.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Design, specs, and price
Throw every Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series phone in a pile, and you’ll struggle to identify which is which.
Google has stuck with the pill-shaped camera bar for the Pixel 10 series, and the difference in measurements is in millimeters. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold sports the same square pill camera bar, similar bezels, and an identical main display.
According to Onleaks, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will measure 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3mm when unfolded, compared to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold at 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.1mm.
The most striking change to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s appearance is its color. Google is revamping the colorways on offer, retiring classics like Obsidian and Porcelain in favor of Moonstone and Jade. It’s the same for the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The Pixel 9 Pro is chunkier than other foldables on the market right now, and it doesn’t look like the Pixel 10 Pro XL will change that formula.
However, its OLED cover display is increasing in size from 6.3 to 6.4 inches. Not a massive change, but it helps to separate the Pixel 10 Pro XL from its predecessor.
The entire Pixel 10 lineup is also receiving a brightness boost from 2,700 nits of peak brightness to 2,700 nits.

Durability issues plague foldable phones, and Pixel Fold phones are no different.
Google has made a significant step towards resolving this issue by shipping the Pixel 10 Pro Fold with an IP68 rating.
This means that it will have the same resistance against water as its predecessor, but now it’s “dust-tight.” This may be thanks to the Pixel 10 Fold reportedly having a slimmer hinge than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Thanks to a comprehensive spec leak, we have a good idea of what we’ll find inside the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. There will be a Tensor G5 chipset, 12GB RAM, and a 5,015mAh battery.
On top of the bigger battery, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have 23W wired charging speed, and 15W wireless charging speed with Qi-2 compatible cases. It will also have three storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
We’re not clear on what the price of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be. While the rest of the Pixel 10 lineup, except the Pixel 10 Pro XL, are not increasing in price, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may decrease in price.
An April report suggested that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold would drop in price to $1,600, but a more recent report claimed it would remain at $1,800.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Software and cameras
We’ve seen no sign of any new custom software for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but there’s still some exciting software developments on the way.
Material 3 Expressive will be the most impactful Android redesign in years, and it should arrive with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold or shortly after. Gemini-powered features like Magic Cue and Gemini Space won’t be exclusive to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but the Tensor G5 chipset may result in better performance for AI tasks.
Thanks to another comprehensive leak, we have the exact specifications of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s cameras.
The telephoto and selfie cameras are identical to those on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but it looks like the main and ultrawide cameras will be downgraded from the Sony IMX787 lens to a Samsung GN8 for the main camera, and a Samsung 3J1 for the ultrawide.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a mixed bag
While the camera system is a distinct downgrade over the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the IP68 rating, bigger screen, and longer-lasting battery are all improvements that matter in regular use.
