News and Notes: We Are Still Here and the Guardians Won

Sorry about the chaos associated with the site platform change. We will get our heads around everything and be back to normal before you know it. Stick with us! We’ll have a game-thread up for today’s game.

The Guardians won another exciting, playoff-atmosphere-type game last night against a very good team, beating the Mets 3-2.

You can see the condensed game highlights here:

Hopefully, you can. First time posting a link on the new platform, there!

The Guardians will finish up the series with a chance to SWEEP at 1:10PM EDT today, with Gavin Williams on the bump. Perhaps, most impressively, Jose Ramirez has yet to get a hit in this series and they’ve still won two games. Perhaps, second-most impressively, last night Matt Festa, Kolby Allard, and Jakob Junis sliced through the Mets’ order like a hot knife through butter. As we all predicted, of course. I was impressed with Cade Smith in the 9th who had to fight through some very good at-bats from Mark Vientos and Jeff McNeil, but got the job done.

The Yankees lost AGAIN. The Guardians are still 2.5 games back in the wildcard, but only 7 back in the division after a Tigers lost. I still don’t think there’s much point in paying attention to the division race, but, hey, I am always here for the Guardians proving me wrong and winning baseball games.
