Netflix star dies at 37 after falling from building, reports say

Popular Chinese actor Alan “Yu” Menglong has died after falling from his apartment building, according to reports. He was 37 years old.

Menglong, known best for his role in Netflix’s “Eternal Love,” died Thursday in the Chaoyang district of Beijing, China, according to Asia One.

It is currently unclear what caused Menglong’s fall but police have ruled out any foul play.

“With unbearable sorrow, we announce that our beloved Menglong fell to his death on Sept 11. Police have ruled out any criminality,” Menglong’s management team said in a statement posted to Weibo. “We hope he rests in peace and his loved ones remain strong.”

The Xinjiang native rose to fame competing in a Chinese singing contest called “Super Boy” in 2013.

He went on to star in projects like The Legend of the White Snake,” “Go Princess Go,” and “The Moon Brightens You.”

The entertainer’s last appearance came in the 2025 series “Feud.”
