
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — NBA star Marcus Morris Sr. was arrested Sunday in South Florida and is being held on an out of state hold, Local 10 News learned Monday.
Online jail records show Morris, 35, was arrested at an airport in Broward County on a fraud – insufficient funds check charge.
As of Monday morning, he was being held at the Broward County Main Jail.
Local 10 News is working on obtaining more details about his arrest and the fraud charge he now faces.
The 13-year NBA veteran was drafted by the Houston Rockets in 2011 and last played in the 2023-2024 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.
According to TMZ, Morris has had a few legal issues in the past, including arrests for assault and battery.
His brother, Keef Morris, took to social media Sunday to comment on the NBA star’s arrest.
