Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds’ next big update will arrive in just a couple of weeks, and that it’ll include some major adjustments that were originally going to be part of Title Update 3.
Just to recap, Title Update 3 is still set for late September — promising a new monster and “various improvements” — but now, its “expansion of endgame content” will be implemented much earlier, in patch 1.021.
This patch is pencilled in for the 13th August. It’ll feature new, high difficulty quests that reward special Talismans with randomised skill combinations. In other words, it’s a fresh way to grind for endgame builds.
What’s more, 1.021 is bringing a bunch of weapon balancing, which will apparently cover “more weapons than originally planned”.
It’s unclear why the dev team is pushing all of this forward, but we’re sure that players won’t be complaining. Here’s hoping that the endgame additions breathe some new life into Wilds, which has sometimes been criticised for its lack of overall difficulty and endgame goals.
