According to Ura News, the fatal accident occurred in July in Tver, Russia. Alexandrova was a passenger in a car driven by her husband when the vehicle collided with an elk crossing the road. The crash was severe, shattering the car’s windshield, and Alexandrova suffered a traumatic brain injury. She was admitted to the intensive care unit at the Sklifosovsky Institute for Emergency Medicine in Moscow, where she was treated for a month before passing away.
Her husband, who sustained minor injuries, later explained that the accident took place on a road under construction, where there were no barriers to prevent wild animals from crossing.
Alexandrova’s marriage took place just months before her tragic death. Her husband proposed to her in Paris, gifting her a diamond ring valued at 4 million rubles (approximately US$49,937). The couple shared a deep passion for psychology, which brought them closer together. They wed in March at a beautiful estate near Moscow and celebrated their honeymoon in the Maldives.
Following the wedding, Alexandrova shared how meaningful the occasion had been for her.
“I never imagined that such an event would leave such a lasting impression,” she said. “I remember every second, and it still feels like I’m floating in that emotion. A day full of love, joy, and sincerity.”
The couple had planned to start a family and build a happy home.
Alexandrova was also known for her strong educational background. She earned a degree in Finance and Credit from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 2016 and later pursued her passion for the arts by taking courses at the Moscow Institute of Television and Broadcasting of Ostankino. She also obtained a psychology degree from Moscow State Pedagogical University in 2020.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Alexandrova was passionate about social causes and actively supported charities focused on serious illnesses and orphaned children.
Throughout her hospitalization, Alexandrova’s family and friends remained by her side, hoping for a miracle. She endured several days in a coma, briefly regaining consciousness before falling unconscious again. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
Her management agency Modus Vivendis confirmed her death earlier this week. Following the tragic news, the Miss Universe Organization issued a tribute.
“The Miss Universe Organization expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by the light of Miss Universe Russia 2017, Kseniya Alexandrova,” read the statement. “Her grace, beauty, and spirit left an unforgettable mark on the Miss Universe family and beyond. May her memory continue to inspire kindness, strength, and love in all those fortunate enough to have known her.”
