Minecraft‘s latest update has arrived, and it’s going to be a fantastic one for fans of the Minecraft Movie thanks to one simple music disc.
Did you get hyped whenever the words Chicken Jockey were mentioned in the Minecraft Movie, or have you had the song Lava Chicken by Jack Black stuck in your head for the last few months? Well, if you didn’t, you certainly do now (sorry).
Don’t worry, as it’s about to get so much worse, as Minecraft has added the song to their game, and you can get hold of it in the most Minecraft movie way ever.
How to get Lava Chicken music disc in Minecraft
Added in the 1.21.94 update, players can now get access to the music disc named ‘Lava Chicken’, by Hyper Potions. This song is a remixed version of the song Jack Black sings in the Minecraft Movie, performed in classic Minecraft style, and is guaranteed to get stuck in your head, and probably annoy anyone you’re playing with (especially if you hide the music block from them).
To get it, you’ll need to simply defeat a baby Zombie who’s riding a Chicken… otherwise known as the Chicken Jockey.
Warner Bros.If you’ve seen the film or the hype around its release, then you’ll know exactly why this is so iconic. If not, Lava Chicken is a dish they serve in the Minecraft movie, and is accompanied by Jack Black as Steve serenading the reveal.
On top of this, the film had an incredibly viral moment in which Jason Momoa’s character is forced to fight a baby Zombie on a Chicken, which is labelled as a Chicken Jockey. In the viral videos, as soon as those words were mentioned in the film, the crowds would go wild, throwing popcorn, drinks, and generally causing chaos. One even brought a live chicken into the theatre for this very moment.
It seems Mojang has fully embraced the film and the jokes surrounding it, now officially adding this homage into everyone’s updated Minecraft adventure.
