Bill Belichick may be multiple years removed from a New England Patriots training camp, but reporters are still taking heat from the head coach.
As the Patriots opened training camp on Tuesday, head coach Mike Vrabel held a press conference to field questions from the media. But one unfortunate reporter must’ve been hard of hearing, because it appears he asked a question that Vrabel had already answered.

“Whether you were in a coma when I answered Tom’s question, or typing on your phone or tweeting, I don’t know. But I spent 5 minutes answering that question.”

“Now that the guys are back, I know there’s 90 of them, but generally speaking,” the reporter began before Vrabel interjected.
“91.”
“91, excuse me. International pathway. What, uh, how did they do? How do you feel about how they guys came back?” the reporter asked the Patriots coach.
“I mean, whether you were in a coma when I answered Tom’s question, or typing on your phone, or tweeting, I don’t know. But I spent five minutes answering that question. And I could go back through it, but I’d rather not,” Vrabel answered.
Needless to say, this is not how that reporter envisioned his Mike Vrabel era in New England getting started. Luckily for him, he has a long training camp and an even longer season to win back the coach’s trust, and maybe even get an answer. You have to imagine it’ll be easier to get back onto Vrabel’s good side than it would be Belichick’s.
