Michigan Football S Rod Moore’s status for New Mexico game revealed

We are two hours away from the start of the 2025 college football season for the Michigan Wolverines, and that means the official injury report has been released heading into Week 1 vs. New Mexico.

Here is this week’s full injury report.

It shouldn’t be surprising that Rod Moore is out for this game. He’s still been working back from his second knee surgery following his torn ACL last spring. Hopefully he is available next week for the Oklahoma game — his leadership and skills in the secondary would be greatly helpful.

Other than Moore, there aren’t really any major contributors that are out for tonight’s game. Babalola, Hood and Johnson are all out for the season with injuries, while guys like Kuzdzal, Volker, Baxter, Charleston and Iwunnah are depth pieces at this point.

A lot of good things have been said recently about Mangham, so hopefully he is ready to roll and will be able to play. Hoffman, one of the spring game MVPs, has also been talked up a bit as one of the next great H-backs behind Max Bredeson. Keene may not be needed tonight, so don’t be shocked if he doesn’t suit up, but he will provide valuable depth when he does return from whatever he’s dealing with.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
