Ashlee Simpson has gone from music maven to mom of three kids: Bronx, Jagger, and Ziggy.
The “Pieces of Me” singer welcomed her first child, son Bronx Mowgli, with then-husband Pete Wentz in 2008. After the two artists divorced in 2011, Simpson went on to marry Evan Ross, son of legendary singer Diana Ross, in 2014. Their first child together, daughter Jagger Snow, arrived one year later. In 2020, the couple welcomed their second child, son Ziggy Blu.
In September 2025, Simpson opened up to People about how her daughter Jagger inspired her to return to the stage for her I Am Me residency in Las Vegas. “She’s definitely influenced me to get up here and go again,” the 40-year-old said. “We dance together, we get free, we let our bodies go. We do our little modern dances. We sing together. So I’m definitely looking forward to making her proud.”
Jagger isn’t the only Simpson child who’s into music. When Bronx was just 6 years old, his mom told People that he’s “so into music. He loves to dance around and he writes little songs. They’re good! It’s so cute.”
Simpson’s husband, Ross, has similarly gushed about their talented blended family. “They all can sing. They all can dance. It’s a bit ridiculous. I think they’re all gonna be superstars,” he said in a 2023 interview with E! News.
Beyond their budding musical aptitude, the Simpson kids are also making their parents “so proud” of the people they’re becoming. “I mean, it’s not the easiest thing in the world being a parent,” their Ashlee told SheKnows in June 2024, “but at the end of the day, you’re like, ‘Yes, my kids are doing great, and I feel proud.’“

Simpson and then-husband Pete Wentz welcomed their only child, son Bronx Mowgli, on November 20, 2008.
The reality star and the Fall Out Boy bassist-lyricist had married earlier that year with an Alice in Wonderland themed reception and centerpieces of black roses, per a People article from the time. They were first romantically linked in late 2006, when they were spotted kissing in a nightclub.
Although Simpson and Wentz divorced in 2011, a spokesperson for the couple said they were prioritizing being “deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority.”
From a young age, he demonstrated a musical sensibility, picking up guitar and piano. According to Simpson’s 2024 SheKnows interview, he also makes “the best playlists,” to the point where she’s turning to him for music recommendations. “I’m always like, ‘Give me the new music! Give me my new playlist’ because he really has such good taste in music.”
Bronx, now 16, has stepped out with both of his parents at red carpet events over the years. He and his dad attended the Ed Hardy LA Show together in November 2024. Earlier that year, Bronx and his two younger siblings—Jagger and Ziggy—appeared alongside Simpson and Ross at the Los Angeles premiere of Inside Out 2.
Fans of Simpson and Wentz can’t believe how grown-up Bronx looks today. When he turned 16 in November 2024, Simpson shared a photo of the two that shows her son standing a full head taller than her to her Facebook profile. “Being your mom has been the greatest joy of my life,” she wrote in the caption of the touching tribute post. “You are my rock my soul. My ride or die.
“You have been the greatest blessing in life that I could have ever dreamed of. I would not be me without you. Thank you for choosing me to be a mom, and YOUR mom.”

Simpson and her husband, Evan Ross, welcomed daughter Jagger Snow on July 30, 2015.
A few years later, Ross revealed that his mother, 13-time Grammy nominee Diana Ross, came to witness the birth. “While [Ashlee] was having the baby, we said we were going to do it just us,” he told People, “but then we saw both our parents behind the curtain watching. Also, those nurses can’t stop my mom! Like, Diana Ross just walks in.”
Like her mom Ashlee and her aunt, Jessica Simpson, Jagger felt called to the spotlight early in life. Her modeling debut came in 2022, when the then-7-year-old posed for luxury streetwear brand Fear of God. Proud grandma Diana shared a picture from the campaign to her Facebook account, noting in the caption that Jagger “had so much fun” doing “her first big photo shoot.”

Although she’s just 10 years old, Jagger’s already the resident fashion critic of the Simpson-Ross household. “If she doesn’t like something, she’ll check it out in the mirror and tell me,” her mom told People in 2018.
Outside of her passion for fashion, Simpson’s only daughter is also a potential future pop star. She made a cameo at the beginning of her grandmother’s song with Tame Impala for the soundtrack to Minions: The Rise of Gru. “[L]ove this song so much!” her dad wrote of the track, titled “Turn Up The Sunshine,” in a 2022 Instagram post. “And my daughter Jagger is on the Record right in the beginning with MOM,” he added.
Simpson reiterated Jagger’s musical aspirations in a 2024 interview with Us Weekly. “Jagger thinks she would like to be on stage,” she told the outlet. “She was like, ‘We were supposed to do this last year.’… So she would like to sing a song with me and be on stage.”
In the same interview, she shared that her daughter had participated in a performance of The Wiz at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy—suggesting Jagger is well on her way to becoming a multi-hyphenate performer like her mom.

On October 29, 2020, Simpson and Ross welcomed their second child together: son Ziggy Blu.
Ross announced Ziggy’s arrival with a post on his Instagram, showing himself and his wife laying their hands on their newborn’s blanket while he sleeps. “10-29-2020 Ziggy Blu Ross. Our Son has arrived! I’m in Heaven ❤️ ❤️ ❤️,” the Hunger Games actor captioned the post.
He later shared a glimpse of Simpson’s two older children bonding with their new brother, posting a picture of the adorable trio to Instagram in November 2020. In the picture, a pre-teen Bronx holds baby Ziggy while proud sister Jagger smiles in front of the boys.
In October 2024, Simpson made a now-deleted Instagram post celebrating her youngest child’s fourth birthday. The doting mom uploaded a Reel with photos from his Halloween-themed birthday party and a family trip to Universal Studios. “You keep us all laughing, and dressing up!! I love you my silly, fun, cuddly boy, pirates forever,” she wrote in the caption, per a Hello! article from the time.
The artist also revealed to People in February 2024 that Ziggy might be her last child, but she’s leaving the door open for baby number four. “You never know,” she told the outlet. “[Ross] is open. I’m more like, ‘Eh, I’m about to turn 40,’ ” she joked. “But hey, never say never! I feel like once you get a kid in kindergarten, you’re like, ‘Am I done?’ We’ll always leave the door open,” Simpson added.
