Maureen McCormick Pens Tribute for David Ketchum

Maureen McCormick starred as the vivacious Marcia Brady on the beloved classic family sitcom “The Brady Bunch” which aired on ABC from 1969 to 1974. The actress, now 69 years old, took to her Instagram on August 22, 2025 to mourn the loss of a treasured former costar in a sentimental tribute.

The tribute was for “Get Smart” actor David Ketchum, whose death was covered by the Hollywood Reporter the same day McCormick honored him in her post. The TV icon wrote, “Rest in peace, David Ketchum,” before adding a red heart emoji. She continued, “What an honor it was work with you back in 1966 on the TV show ‘Camp Runamuck.’ I will always remember your kindness.”


David Ketchum Died In California, Daughter Revealed

The Hollywood Reporter says they were told by Ketchum’s daughter, Nicole Madden, that he died in a Sherman Oak care facility.

The outlet says he is remembered for his mastery of physical comedy which saw him squeeze into objects like sofas and vending machines.

Variety says along with starring in “Get Smart,” the actor is notable for guest appearances on various ’60s sitcoms. His role as a counselor in “Camp Runamuck,” where he met Maureen McCormick, was his first, per the report.

The outlet points out the then 37-year-old quickly made up for what some might consider a late start into show business, nabbing a regular role as Mel Warshaw in “I’m Dickens, He’s Fenster.”
