Mark Tyler’s final Washington Commanders 53-man roster prediction

A few weeks ago, I put out my initial 53-man roster prediction. My final has changed a bit since then. These last two preseason games helped finalize my decisions.

What I really like about this potential roster is the versatility. In the backfield we have three very different types of running backs. Our wide receiver room has many different body types and players who can line up all over the formation – including the backfield. Offensive line boasts guys who can slot in at multiple positions, and our tight ends have some very good blockers and guys excellent at finding spaces in zones, including the endzone.

On defense our EDGE rushers all offer something a bit different. Some excel at setting the edge, while others are pass-rush specialists. Many of these players along the defensive line have inside/outside versatility. Linebacker has a great mix of veterans and younger players to develop. The secondary may be the best mix I have seen in Washington in years.

Overall, I do not see many weak spots within of our two deep.

Below are my predictions, followed by some notes.
