Mariners ALCS ticket prices soar on secondhand sites as World Series draws within reach

The Mariners are getting closer and closer to their first-ever World Series appearance.

After two games on the road, they are back at home in Seattle for games three and four of the ALCS, and game five, if necessary, for the best-of-seven series.

It seems like all of Seattle is waiting with bated breath for games 3 and 4 against the Blue Jays, which will decide if the M’s clinch the World Series position.

But if you want to see any of the games play out in person, it will cost you. On the official MLB website, both games three and four are currently listed as sold out.

If you want tickets to these highly anticipated games, you’ll need to go to secondhand sites to try and get yourself a seat in the ballpark.

Resale tickets were spotted ranging from a couple hundred dollars to tens of thousands. The cheapest resale tickets KOMO News found as of publishing this story were $276. Meanwhile, choice seats for games 3 and 4 were going on resale for up to $11,000!

If you are going to a home game, the city and the Mariners have been reminding fans of a few things the past few weeks:

  • Leave early to avoid traffic and parking hassles as much as possible,
  • Consider taking public transportation to avoid traffic and parking costs,
  • Bring your energy, whether you watch the games at the ballpark or somewhere else.
