A whole series of PlayStation: The Concert dates appear to have been cancelled, effectively bringing the event’s US tour to an unceremonious close.
According to VGC’s findings, just about every US tour date has been scrapped for the rest of 2025, with existing ticket holders only just finding out about the cancellations via email.
Indeed, tickets can no longer be purchased for shows across numerous cities. And this is following on from a string of previously cancelled events in Europe — although most of those were apparently pushed back into 2026.
These cancellations have sparked speculation over PlayStation: The Concert’s viability. There have been some reports that shows were simply struggling to sell tickets, and so Sony’s pulled the plug in order to reorganise its efforts.
Case in point: one of the only 2025 shows still standing in the US — set to take place in New Jersey on the 11th November — isn’t even close to being sold out.
But again, at the time of writing, there’s no concrete answer as to why these dates are being canned. PlayStation’s yet to officially comment on the cancellations.
If you’re sat there wondering what PlayStation: The Concert even is… well, it’s a live concert performance that boasts music from across the company’s wide catalogue of games.
We actually attended one of the concerts earlier in the year, and while we certainly enjoyed the experience overall, it did leave us wishing there was more meat to it.
Right now, the tour’s official website still has a bunch of US dates locked in for 2026 — but you’ll obviously need to be wary of those being cancelled as well.
It’ll also be interesting to see whether Sony attempts to reinvigorate the whole thing’s marketing campaign, as that could be an indicator of the platform holder’s outlook.
