It’s not unusual in pre-season for Liverpool to play a double friendly, with back-to-back games on the same day and typically against the same opponent. Today is that day, and it’s at Anfield meaning a first chance for local fans to see the likes of new superstar signing Florian Wirtz in person.
It also marks the day The Liverpool Offside and the rest of the SB Nation network are changing publishing platforms and making the switch to WordPress. Which shouldn’t impact you as a reader very much, but will mean that on our end we won’t have access to publishing tools from around the time we’d expect to run a recap of game one through around lunch in the UK on Tuesday or early morning in eastern North America.
The site will continue to be accessible, and commenting shouldn’t be an issue, but we won’t be running anything new (which sounds like the perfect time for the club to make another superstar signing imo). If you’ve missed seeing the pop-ups and posts about the new login system that will arrive tomorrow, that can be found here.
The most important change is that starting tomorrow you will use the email associated with your account and not your name to sign, and while you will continue to be able to log in directly using Google or Facebook (if you usually log in that way), that feature will not be supported with other email services. You will continue to be able to log in with non-Gmail email accounts manually using the email associated with your site account and a password.
