Lindsay Lohan Recreates Iconic ‘Parent Trap’ Looks 27 Years Later

Lindsay Lohan is paying homage to her breakout film The Parent Trap.

During the press tour for Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday which she starred in alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Lohan wore two looks on Monday, July 28 inspired by her twin characters Annie James and Hallie Parker in the 1998 film.

During the Monday, July 28, episode of Good Morning America, Lohan sported a yellow outfit that recalled James’ British preppy style but with what Lohan called “a Freakier Friday twist.”

The actress wore a two-piece coordinating set in a butter yellow. The set, from Balmain’s pre-spring 2026 collection by Olivier Rousteing, consisted of a tweed jacket with a white and black plaid pattern and matching miniskirt.

The look was inspired by James’s yellow cardigan outfit, as well as her matching plaid jacket and skirt set. The look also appeared similar to Cher’s signature outfit in the 1995 film Clueless.

Lohan also wore a look inspired by her other Parent Trap character Hallie Parker with her look for Live with Kelly & Mark on July 28. For the show, the actress wore a fitted Roberto Cavalli cheongsam-inspired minidress.

The dress featured a mandarin collar, a waist-cinching corset at the torso and a pattern that contained tropical birds, flowers and tree branches. In The Parent Trap, Parker wore a pale pink cheongsam-inspired minidress with a tiny matching purse.

Lohan’s Parent Trap-inspired looks come shortly after she reunited with co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix at the Los Angeles premiere of Freakier Friday on Tuesday, July 22.

Freakier Friday premieres in theaters on Friday, August 8.
