Lance Anoa’i announces WWE departure

Lance Anoa’i is gone from WWE.

Anoa’i, who never officially made his debut for the company, announced early on Friday that he was gone from the company. According to his post on social media, he has a 30-day no compete.

“I would officially announce my departure from WWE! I didn’t have the best of luck since I arrived! I will not let this stop me from achieving to be great! I’ve worked hard on the indies for 15 years! Now let’s get back to work! 30days Accepting bookings booklanceanoai@gmail.com,” he wrote.

WWE confirmed Anoa’i signing last November. However, injuries had kept Anoa’i from ever making his debut. Fightful Select reported earlier this month that while recovering from one injury, Anoa’i suffered another injury that kept him away from the ring.

Anoa’i is the son of Samu and started wrestling in 2010. Since then, he’s made appearances in MLW and Pro Wrestling NOAH. Prior to being signed, he also appeared on the May 27, 2019 edition of Raw where he faced Shane McMahon.
