Miss out on the Wildcats’ season-opening win over Toledo? The KSR crew has you covered.
Kentucky took down Toledo by a final score of 24-16 on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Kroger Field. It wasn’t a pretty overall performance by any means, but the ‘Cats left with a dub thanks to an inspiring showing from Brad White’s defense. KSR videographer Steven Peake tagged along on the ride to Lexington with Nick Roush and Adam Luckett to bring us a behind-the-scenes look at the atmosphere.
From Steven’s perspective, the in-game festivities could have been done up a little bit more. There was a notable lack of Grove Street Party playing on the loudspeakers throughout the afternoon. The overall crowd size was good for a non-Power 4 matchup — and it should be filled to the brim when No. 21 Ole Miss comes to town next weekend — but the stadium was emptying out by the fourth quarter of a close game.
From pregame tailgating to the postgame walk back to the car, you can experience everything Steven saw during his day at Kroger Field by diving into the video below.
