Kristen Stewart just brought her penchant for timeless style with an edgy twist to the Deauville Film Festival. During a September 12 photocall for her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, Stewart gave the classic Chanel skirt suit her signature daring spin. While everyone else is layering up for fall, Stewart made the case for one layer, and one layer only—a jacket and absolutely nothing else.

The Twilight actress, a long-standing Chanel ambassador, wore a white skirt suit made of a fuzzy, textured material. The body of the jacket featured a soft, barely there multicolored sheen and slightly puffed sleeves. She went topless under the jacket and left it unbuttoned as she posed at the festival. She wore the pleated skirt with a thin black and gold belt.

Stewart wore her bleached blonde hair in a messy bun, leaving her bangs falling across her forehead. Just two months ago, Stewart was spotted talking a walk with bright neon pink hair—and it appears there’s still a subtle pink tinge to her blonde hair.
Stewart has been experimenting with pink for a while now. Earlier in the year, she also debuted pink tips while bringing the same film to the Cannes Film Festival.
Stewart has made a habit of playing with the classic Chanel suit, often going sans top while wearing the famous jackets. Last January, she rocked a logo-covered black and white Chanel suit with only a bra at Sundance. A year later, she wore a sheer Chanel suit, buttoned at the top and with nothing underneath. At Cannes, it was a pink Chanel suit with shorts and a sheer maxiskirt. It’s safe to say, the topless Chanel suit is practically the K. Stew red carpet uniform at this point.

Stewart’s first film, The Chronology of Water, premiered at Cannes. Stewart is set to speak about her relationship with French cinema during the Deauville Festival on September 13.
