Kneecap have been forced to cancel the entirety of their US tour scheduled for October 2025 amid ongoing legal concerns in the United Kingdom.
“Due to the close proximity of our next court hearing in London on September 26th – as the British government continues its witch-hunt – with the start of the U.S. tour, we will have to cancel all 15 U.S. tour dates in October,” the Irish hip-hop group announced on Monday. “With every show fully sold out this is news we are sad to deliver. But once we win our court case, which we will, we promise to embark on an even bigger tour to all you great heads.”
Kneecap member Mo Chara is charged with a terror offense in the UK stemming from a November 2024 concert in which he allegedly a flag in support of Hezbollah. The group has denied ever supporting Hamas or Hezbollah, and said “an extract of footage [from the concert], deliberately taken out of all context, is now being exploited and weaponised, as if it were a call to action.”

Mo Chara appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court last week, where his lawyers made a motion to dismiss the case, citing a technical error in the way the charge was brought against him. The chief magistrate overseeing the case is now deciding on whether he has jurisdiction. The next hearing is scheduled for September 26th.
Kneecap’s upcoming concerts in Canada, along with their scheduled shows in the UK and Europe over the coming months, are still scheduled to take place. The group also promises that it’ll be sharing “something very special for US fans next week so that we can still link in with you all in October. It’s top secret for now but all will be revealed next week – stay tuned.”
Kneecap were also briefly investigated by UK authorities following their Glastonbury performance over the summer, where they led chants of “Fuck [UK Prime Minister] Keir Starmer” and “Free, free Palestine.” The investigation was ultimately dropped, with officials citing “insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction for any offense.”
