3. Drive of the Game:
Pretty obvious here. With the Saints trailing 17-9 and just over two minutes left, Rattler had to go to work, and he did. Shaking himself off after throwing an interception in the red zone on the previous drive, Rattler engineered a nine-play, 82-yard drive that took 2:19 off the clock, leaving the Jags with 21 seconds remaining. Rattler was able to convert a fourth-and-2 at his own 26-yard line with a 16-yarder to Tipton, then another 26 yards to Tipton set the Saints up to get it in the end zone. Rattler still had to come up big on another third down, this time from the Jaguars’ 20-yard line after a false start pushed it back. Rattler would hit Dante Pettis down the left sideline in the Poydras Street end zone for the touchdown. The Saints would go for two for the tie, and Rattler was able to see an opening to his right, and raced for the pylon and scored easily for the two-point conversion. Rattler was seven of eight on the drive, with the only incompletion an overthrow of Tipton in the endz one three plays prior to the Pettis touchdown. The tie was sealed when rookie safety Jonas Sanker intercepted a Seth Henigan pass with nine seconds left and took it down the left sideline. However, the clock expired when Sanker was forced out of bounds, and the Saints were unable to attempt a potential game-winning field goal.
