Scottsdale Police are investigating a “high-dollar residential burglary” at the location of a house listed as owned by Arizona Diamondbacks All-Star Ketel Marte, a spokesperson told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Marte and his family were in Atlanta on Tuesday night as he started in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, and police said they believe the burglary near Shea Boulevard and 64th took place that evening. Marte is listed as owning a residence in the area where Scottsdale Police confirmed the investigation is taking place.
There were signs of forced entry into the house and “numerous” personal items, including jewelry, were stolen.
There was nobody home at the time of the crime, and the investigation is still active, police said.
Marte hit an RBI double that scored two runs in his first at-bat in the All-Star contest, which ended with a home run derby deciding the win for the National League.
