Katy Perry has seemingly confirmed her new romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after they were seen sharing a passionate kiss on board her yacht.

The pair first sparked relationship rumors in July when they were spotted at an upscale restaurant in Montreal as she began her Lifetime’s world tour.

Katy Perry recently split from her longtime fiancé, Orlando Bloom, with sources saying their split was caused by “tensions” that arose as a result of a trip to space.

Katy Perry seems to have found love again in the arms of Justin Trudeau, months after her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed the pair in a series of heavy PDA-packed moments with the former Canadian leader wrapping the pop sensation around his arms while they kissed on board her 24-metre yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.

It appears they didn’t care if they were seen, as they shared the intimate moment on the upper deck of the vessel, with Trudeau placing his hands on her butt at some point. The “California Gurls” singer dressed in a black swimsuit, while Trudeau went shirtless, wearing only what appeared to be jeans.

“She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn’t realise who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately realised it was Justin Trudeau,” an eyewitness told the news outlet.

Trudeau has a notable “Haida raven” tattoo on his upper left as homage to a Canadian tribe known for their seamanship and artistry.

The Singer Is ‘Very Interested’ In The Former Prime Minister

Although they’re yet to say for sure what’s going on between them, insiders have already shared that the 40-year-old singer fancies Trudeau and is “very interested” in him.

“Katy is very, very interested in him. She says he’s a real catch, a high-quality guy. She keeps a lot of details to herself, but she clearly still likes him a lot,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“They just are so busy and in different cities, so they aren’t physically together,” the insider added. “But if there’s anyone worth having a long-distance relationship with, it’s him. She likes him a lot. He likes her a lot. I’d even say they’re enamored.”

The source went further to share that Trudeau is “actually a pretty good texter” and that Perry invests in a relationship “if she’s interested in someone like she is with him.”

Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors in July when they were spotted having an intimate dinner at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal.

The pair got lost in their conversation and often leaned in across the table as they spoke.

Although the chef who served them, Danny Smiles, said there was no PDA between them, they gave relationship vibes as they visited the kitchen to personally thank the staff.

Just before then, they were seen walking down Montreal’s Mount Royal Park, with the former politician smiling from ear to ear.

Trudeau was in an 18-year marriage to his ex-wife, Sophie, before they split in August 2023. They share three children, sons Xavier and Hadrien, and daughter Ella-Grace.

On her part, Perry got married to comedian Russell Brand in 2010 before calling it quits two years later.

Perry’s outing with Trudeau comes months after the “Dark Horse” singer split from her longtime fiancé, Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares daughter, Daisy.

A source told The Sun that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor “did not approve” Perry’s trip to space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin spaceship because he never thought “going on the mission was a good idea.”

The insider added that Bloom “knew she would get backlash” and was “frustrated” and “disappointed” with her decision to take part in it.

“From day one, Orlando didn’t think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash,” the source said. “He always thought it was a stupid idea, and she wouldn’t get anything positive out of it.”
