Rachel Bush is thrilled to be returning to Buffalo after her husband, All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer, re-signed with the Bills for what could be his final NFL season.
Poyer — who played for Miami last year following a seven-year stint with Buffalo — signed with the Bills Thursday, his agents said.
“I’m so excited home again home again,” Bush wrote on X with a handful of heart emojis. “One last ride!! Let’s go Buffalo!!”
Bush celebrated the news in a series of Instagram Stories and gushed over the support they received from Bills Mafia.
“One moree,” Bush wrote, including the news of Poyer’s signing.
“We are so excited to be back!!” Bush said in another note. “Thank you all soo much for all the DMs texts etc etc!! I know Jordan is certainly feeling the love. It makes my heart so happy to see how much this community and fan base loves and appreciates him.
“I’m sharing all the messages with him he’s probably sick of me,” she continued, adding a crying laughing emoji. “Anyways see you soooon Buffalo!!”
The 34-year-old safety is expected to initially join the Bills’ practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The Bills announced their initial 53-man roster at the Tuesday deadline, with Damar Hamlin, Taylor Rapp and Cole Bishop making the cut at safety.
Poyer played for the Bills from 2017 through 2023.
He was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 with the Bills and was a team captain.
Amanda Hyde, the wife of Bills safety Micah Hyde, reposted the news of Poyer’s signing and tagged Bush in her post.
“They’re baacccckkkk,” she wrote, adding blue and red heart emojis. “We love you guys sm. LFG!”
Bush replied, “Love youu!! The best safety duo 4everr.”
Bush is a regular at Poyer’s games and is known for her outspoken demeanor when it comes to football, as well as off-the-field matters such as politics.
Bush, who has made it clear on social media that she’s against vaccines, previously supported former Bills wideout Cole Beasley for his public remarks about COVID-19 vaccines in 2021. Beasley was vocal about his choice not to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Last year, Poyer started 16 games for the Dolphins.
A seventh-round pick by the Eagles in the 2013 NFL Draft, Poyer was waived and claimed off waivers by Cleveland.
The Bills open the 2025 season against the Ravens at Highmark Stadium on Sept. 7.
