John Cena, AJ Styles had an awesome final match at Crown Jewel

One of the main attractions at today’s (Sat., Oct. 11, 2025) Crown Jewel premium live event at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia was John Cena having his final match against AJ Styles with just a few dates left in his WWE career. It was a straight up singles match with next to no build, but they promised they were going to deliver something special.

Considering who we are talking about here, we knew that was surely going to be true. And it was.

It started when Cena did this:

Which, yeah, that’s pretty cool.

It continued when Cena paid tribute to many other wrestlers during the match, from The Miz and a Skull Crushing Finale to Bray Wyatt and a Sister Abigail that led to the entire arena getting out the fireflies. It was one hell of a scene.

There were even more tributes and throwbacks — Cena hit a draping DDT and an RKO for god’s sake — but around that they had a really fun match. Wade Barrett described it perfectly, noting the match was like creating a character in a video game and just spamming everyone’s finisher for the fun of it all. Cena tried a 619 but Styles cut him off and shortly after hit Sweet Chin Music.

This was awesome, and the fans were sure to let them know it.

The finish came after Cena hit Styles with a Tombstone piledriver and followed it up with an Attitude Adjustment. After so many finishers, that combo did the trick.
